MODULE: 1 INTRODUCTION TO SELF-DETERMINATION

INTRODUCTION:  
This service is design to teach students the self determination skills they need to be successful in adult life. Self-Determination occurs went individuals define goals for themselves and take the initiative needed to achieve their goals. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
 Students will learn about


Self-Determination Skills by managing their own Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plan



CONTENT STANDARD:
 Students will be able to advocate for themselves at home, school, workplace and their community.

ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
What is the definition of Self-Advocacy?
What is the definition of Self-Determination?
What is the definition of Self-Awareness?
